Howdy.
I own a contractor’s-style table saw (RIDGID #TS3650 if you must know) and am happy with the existing mobile base except for one thing — the saw sits too low for me. I’m a tall guy (6’4″) and would like to raise the saw up to a more comfortable working height.
Anybody have a solution for this? Is there an aftermarket mobile base that allows for height adjustment? Can I build my own??

This may sound stupid but I have a new RIDGID too and am OK with it... Well, I like it!
How about a wooden base you can roll it up on.. Just use a ramp that is removable.
But then again just what I would do...
I want a mobile base with jacking screws that allow it to be raised to the height that suits me and leveled at the same time (my shop floor slopes about 5 degrees). Just lower the jack screws until the wheels are on the floor to move it - no levers or pedals sticking out. I haven't found such a base so I'm working on a design.
How about BIG casters and change the location of the mounting holes for the lifter brackets. Mounts for the casters adjustable..... As in plates with bolts you screw.. Sort of like a router height adjuster., just upside down!..
Big casters would just be in the way all the time. I want a base similar to those available like the Delta or HTC with 2 small wheels on the left side and one suitable size caster on the right size under the extension table and out of the way. No lift mechanism needed on the caster because there would be a jacking screw in each corner simply turned with a wrench to lift or lower the saw. Screw them down to lift the saw to a height that suits the operator or level to an outfeed table or bench. Screw them up to lower the saw onto it's wheels to move it. When I get a little time I'll buy some 4 inch channel and have a little talk to my welder friend. Probably use the wheels and castor off my existing base.

Install the spacer on top of the legs but under the machine area.
Is that something you tried yourself?
I looked at the parts manual on line and it looks like the easy place to place a spacer of the size you need. No not tried it myself. Build a box from a nice 2x6 and lag screw in place.
I'm with usanigel, place a spacer between the base and the machine. I haven't tried it, but my brother-in-law has. He's 6-9 and had a problem using his saw comfortably. He fabricated a metal spacer, but I think you could use wood.
