I just purchased a new cabinet saw. I’m looking at saw blades. Confused, what type of blades do I need. I was planning on buying a Forrest WWII, and a Frued rip blade 24 tooth. I aready have a Frued 80 TCG for particle board. Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

see article in FWW April 2002 - 10 blades compared
It depends on what type of work you do. For general purpose work I would get 3 blades. A rip, crosscut and a combo blade. You may want a melamine blade as well if you work with a lot of melamine and laminates. Make sure you buy good quality blades.

You already have a 80 tooth. 60 tooth cross-cut and 24 tooth flat are about all you need unless you do laminates. Take the time to change to the proper blade for the job at hand and you will see vast improvements in your results.
BTW, keep them sharp. An expensive dull blade is worse than a cheap sharp blade.
Good luck.........
