Please be advised that Prospero Technologies will be performing a system software upgrade to several of our servers during the regular scheduled maintenance window on Saturday, October 5 between 5:00 and 6:30 am ET. During this time, community services will be available, but chat and search facilities will have short interruptions.
On Sunday, October 6, between 3:00 and 8:00 am ET, Cable and Wireless, Prospero’s primary telecom supplier, will be upgrading network connectivity. Community services may be unavailable or slow to some users during this upgrade.

Oh good. Will this now give us Mac users the same functionality as Windoze participants?

Yes, we will all be at the same level afterward. You will not detect any difference, however.
Huh?
Will Mac users have access to fonts (size, color, attributes)?
Rich
No, neither will Windows users who choose to use any other browser than IE. Welcome to Prospero, technology for the 20th Century
A joke--maybe not--about any new and improved changes to the software leaving the Windows IE folks as disadvantaged as all the others.
Anyone hear what happened to the threaded format? Wasn't it supposed to be here by now? Hmmm....maybe we have them and just don't know it...
Hello Splintie,
If you are interested in the Threaded format take a look over in the Sandbox it is alive and well there. I wanted to put it through it's paces before we released here in the "real" forums. I am hoping to get a chance later next week to implement it in all the forums but in the meantime if you want to test it out please do so as I would love to hear any feedback that you have regarding it.
All:
The activities this weekend are just part of Prospero's normal maintenance, updating there servers, doing any hardware upgrades that might need to be done etc. I am not aware of any software enhancements that will be taking place this weekend but there is a plan to release the next version sometime before the end of the month. What's in the next release you ask? I don't have that info yet but as soon as it is finalized I will let you know. And yes they are working to make this environment more MAC friendly in great part do to the number of requests from you all to have that be. As every time I get a question about this platform not being MAC friendly I send it off to them. I am a MAC geek have both PC and MAC here at work but at home I have only MAC.
If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
For now...Mark

Hello, Mark.
I checked out the sandbox. It looks like threads are working for some, but when i click on the outline and get it in a new window, then i click on a post, i get the hourglass for a few seconds and then get a cursor again, not the post. Sometimes this hourglass/cursor process repeats without my clicking on a post again.
PC with IE5. I have the other bells and whistles.
