Hey, Steve Latta! I see that you are the expert on Shapers! How about a major article on this much neglected machinery? “Getting the most from your shaper” or something like that. Many of us are moving up from router tables (I didn’t say giving them up!) and we need guidance. What do others think?

Dear Carolina Jack,
Are you in earnest?
Did you see our article: Consider a Shaper? http://www.taunton.com/finewoodworking/ToolGuide/ToolGuidePDF.aspx?id=29823
I assume you also saw Steve Latta's reply from our Question and Answer department as well: http://www.taunton.com/finewoodworking/subscription/Community/QADetail.aspx?id=30420
Sound like you want an article that goes beyond the Consider a Shaper piece? If so, I can forward your suggestion to the editor.
Thanks for the feedback,
Gina

Gina and Steve. I don't know how I missed this issue, as I am a subscriber, but this is exactly what I meant! Great article. Now, let's have a discussion on how to obtain, perhaps share, shaper cutters so we don't go to the poorhouse. I bought the Powermatic. It is a Moose! Thanks again.John Sheehan
