Folks I have an end tabel, OAK, with a polyurethane finsh that has small dark stains left by some rubber feet on a drink coaster. Looking for suggestions to clean off stains before I go and refinish the tables. thanks

You should be able to remove them with a little paint thinner (mineral spirits) or naptha.
It may take a couple of times to reactivate the rubber but this should work. Just wipe it dry each time.
You can dab it with a Q- tip to keep it wet. You may have to rub it out a few times before it comes up completely.
The solvent will not harm the poly in any way. The only side effect will be a thorough cleaning of the surface.
I would caution you against using an abrasive like steel wool or a scotch pad as this will change the sheen and you'll have rub out the rest of the table to match it.
