Today I went an bought a Finishline 3 gravity gun from Rockler. I bought it because I can then get half price off on some maple I wanted to get. I get back home and guess what, you can get the whole master set for 210 at sprayworld for what I paid for just one tip. I am going to return it back. By the way, at the Seattle Rockler store, they have some really clear blood curly Maple 4/4 8/4 and some very nice birdseye maple. I really wanted to buy some but got some curly maple at 6 a bf. I think I will get a lvlp since they don’t take a big compressor and from the reviews, it even sprays better. Anyone out there, with some recommendations for spray guns. I intend to keep it for a long time so I want to get a decent one. I finished two small table tops with water based poly. I completey used one of those small cans. Well, the finish was visibly too thick to say the least, so I sanded the whole thing down. Applied 3 wipe on and 3 brush on poly and it looks pretty good now. At the store, someone asked me if i did this for fun. I said, I do this so that some day I can work for rich people and then become rich. I have fun too, ofcourse.
So, any recommendations for a decent gun.
And do you have to finish the bottom a table top.
Thank you all.

temujin, Grizzly has a great deal on a pair of LVLP, gravity feed guns. $54.95 for the pair. Model H7672. That's a steal. I really like gravity feed guns because they are so easy to clean. Finish the underside of a table? Yes! Hans Wegner, the famous Danish furniture designer once gave some buying advice, "Always look at the underside of a piece of furniture first. If it's finished well, you can be pretty sure the rest of the piece is good." Rich
