Hello – when using space balls for frame and panel doors, how much space do you allow for the balls? Say i have 15 inches inside groove to inside groove – how wide do i cut my panel to allow for space balls? – thanks

Well I can't answer your question because I don't use space balls.
I pin my panels with a 3/16" dowel from the inside of the frame right in the center of the panels through the top and bottom rails. It looks nice and keeps the panel centered. I give the panel about 1/4" of room for expansion and 5/8" for shrinkage.
