While I am waiting for glue to set up in this 50 degree and 99 percent humidity, thought I would ask for some suggestions about my shop setup.
I will soon take delivery on a new PM 2000. my current saw is a Delta contractor that has a dust bag. I will be able to collect my dust with the PM. So, I am adding another machine to my dust collector.
Right now, I have the Delta dust collector in the cornor of the shop near the roll-down door. I have about 18-20′ of 4″ plastic hose going from the DC down the wall with Y’s that run off to my BS, planer, router table. and ends at the jointer. I will have to do something to now include the PM 2000. My floor is concrete slab and the ceiling is about 13 1/2′ high. I do not want to try running the dust hose overhead for several reasons.
I am thinking about running metal pipe down the wall and using the same Y arrangement with good metal blast gates at each Y and only one or two plastic hose to work all the machines. As it is, there is more than enough hoses to step over and clean up from under.
Is there anyone with a system that they are happy with?
One more thing. When my PM 2000 arrives, I do not know if it will have the electrical cord included. Does anyone know? I am thinking that I would like a very short one with my machine and make uo one to plug into the wall and have it long enough to take to the machine. I regretrully have only one 220 outlet now wired for my shop. Thankfully it is about center of the shop. My shop is about 24 X 32.

The PM 2000 comes with a cord, about 3-4 feet long, but there is no plug on the end of it. You get to do that part yourself.
Thanks. I suspected that would be the case. I really prefer it that way. I probably will shorten that some.
I also understand the will be no blade. I am going to put the WoodworkerII on it.
