   It can not be expressed enough how important it is to at least give your location, if nothing more than general position on the globe to get advice on good deals, which can be location sensitive.

   I normally don't bother posting anything when this information is missing, but there is some great stuff to be had cheap right now, if you are not too far away, and able to move quickly.

   Please, everyone, All you need to do is click your own name in blue, and then go to your profile, and type your home state, or even region of the world.

   I find it to be irritating to come here willing to offer to help people, but it takes too much time, to drag meaningful information out of those who are asking for help,to give what could be great helpful timely information.

   Please EVERYONE, just do it now! You may not even know when you ask certain questions how important this information can be for not just me, but anyone to answer your questions.

   Sorry about the rant, I guess I killed the thread, didn't I? I bought a lot of the best tools in my shop at auctions, and only paid a very small fraction of their retail cost. There was an online auction going on close enough to me, that if I needed some of the equipment, I would have been bidding on. The OP could use his or her $5000 to get 10 to 20 that much value in equipment with good timing. However at todays fuel cost, spending half of the budget may not leave enough to transport all of the equipment you could end up with across the country even if you could go after it yourself.

   Well, I followed your advice and checked my profile as you suggested.  I didn't find any place to put my location.  You will notice that a 3 is behind my tag.  Each time I lose my status, I just opt for a new one and use the same old tag with a higher number for the suffix.  I think at one time I listed my location but I don't know how I did it.

   Frank,I don't have the magazine information, but I did happen to know where there was some really great equipment was going to be sold for maybe 10¢ on the dollar. So if the OP only had $5000 wouldn't it be nice to get $50.000 worth of equipment for that amount. What would be your choice, a magazine, or a link to a better deal?

   I don't think that the poster said anything about wanting to purchase any equipment, only that he was looking for the issue that a specific article was in.
