While I applaud the SawStop technology, I have to wonder about the trend in liability cases. Who's next? Pocket knife manufacturers? (Actually, bagel slicer manufacturers are probably a better target.) Will the Mercedes Benz crash-avoidance technology be madated for all cars, too?
Bagel Danger
Ralph,
It's actually a fairly common cause of injury, slicing bagels. ( yeah right, like I know bagel statistics.)
This blade-brake/Ryobi thing seems like it could be a pretty big deal court-wise.

It's common enough to have achieved TLA (three-letter acronym) status - BRI (bagel-related injury). But, I haven't seen a breakdown of finger versus palm slices.
Just another case of operator error in my book.
