I’m looking for sawmill owners that sells to woodworkers and small cabinet shop owners.
I live near Minneapolis, but I’m willing to go into Wisconsin or Iowa.
I would especially like to know of sawmill owners that you have dealt with.
I am looking for oak, walnut, cherry and other hardwoods.
Thanks

Have you been to Northern Hardwoods in Cannon Falls? There are also several in the Spring Green area of Wisconsin, although I can't recall their names right now.
Joe
Yeah, take them to Northern Hardwoods in Cannon Falls, MN, bring your kids so they can look at the bikini girl calendars and screen savers in the office. "Daddy, look at the boobies"
Was it Boehm?

You might try Josh at http://www.thinwood.com, he is near Souix City I think, north of Omaha, I used him for some resawn Ash, worked great for my project. He may be able to ship UPS.

I've used hartzell out of Lime Springs Iowa too, and I highly recommend them. Very good prices and quality wood. I'll be going down there again as soon as the roads are dry enough to not blow road salt all over my lumber. ckeck em out.
Todd
Here's one close to you, although I've never bought from them:

You can get a list of sawmills in MN from the DNR website. I lost the link, but search the DNR site under "secondary wood processing." I can't remember the exact wording, but I know it starts with "secondary."
Root River Hardwoods is a good mill in Preston Mn. They ship or you can pick it up yourself.Their website is http://www.rootriverhardwoods.com.
