How can I perfectly match a 3″ solid wood peripherial circle to an already round table top, sort of a wide banding to the table? The table top has radial matched veneering and I would like to make a solid 3″ wood banding. Please help.

Check out this article. I think it's what you need. There's also a companion video that demonstrates the process.

If that's not it write back.

Thanks for the advice. I saw this article and was not sure it would work on a circular table top already cut, and I heard there was an article in fine woodworking from the 80's that described using 2 different router bits on an underlying plyboard template, but I could not reference it on the FW website. If you remember the article I would appreciate locating it. Thanks for the reply. J.t.c.
