I recently came into possesion of 2 large slabs. 1 of India Rosewood(3″ thick and 22″x40″) and 1 of Almond(3″ thick and 20″x 50″). Having never woorked with either of these woods I need some info. How do edge tools fair on these woods? Is burning a problem with a tablesaw or router bits? Is tearout a big problem while planing? I suppose i could just try all this however a little heads up from some experiance wood be appreciated.

Dear Lord! That's alot of rosewood! You suuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!! As for the working properties of rosewood it is very hard and gives some people bad reactions. I don't know about the almond though.
And I only paid $120.00 Canadian for it.Have fun! Nobody gets out alive.
Yup, you really suck. Congrats
The almond wood should give you no problems.
But that rosewood is likely to ruin your tools, your health, and maybe even your marriage.
As a precaution, you should pack it up and ship it to me. I'll take care of it for you.
Politics is the antithesis of problem solving.
