I tried a set Rockler’s new torsion hinges on my latest blanket chest. They were very easy to install and hold the lid at any angle. Two thumbs up. In the past I used a paino hinge and ‘toy box lid supports’, neither of which were easy to install for me.
I attached some photo of the chest. The chest is from some white ash that I had sawn in Minnesota.

Looks like a nice option if one isn't able to use "The Force" to keep the lid open. Thanks for sharing your experience.
