I inadvertently spilled a small amount of Jasco stripper on a 2″ x 5″ area of sanded red oak plywood. It stayed on for several hours before I noticed it. It has now left a unsightly light area. How can I remedy the situation? I have try stripping it again, saturated it with oxalic acid, with household bleach but the stain remains.

Did you use the bleah on the spot, or the surrounding wood? If the spot has been bleached of color (lighter than the rest of the wood), then bleaching the rest of the wood should eliminate the spot.
If you plan to stain the wood, you could use a little dye on the spot to blend it in with the surrounding wood before you stain everything.
