I have an opportunity to get a Delt dj-20 for cheap. Non-X5 and mobile base, free shipping and no tax. Total cost is $1065. Should I get it? Any negatives about this jointer?

For less than that you can buy a brand new Grizzley with a longer bed.
That's a fair price in my area for the DJ20. While Grizzly has gotten better, the parallelogram table set up still puts the DJ20 in a class above the Grizz. Plus the resale value on a Delta is higher overall. I'd be inclined to go for it.
Rocky: I'd buy it for that price. Who is the dealer and where are they located? If they have 2, I could be inclined to go with you! I have seen this for $1300, best price, here in the Midwest.

Rocky,
Go for it. The parellelogram system sets it apart from the rest of the field and the tables are one piece (not the bolt on extensions of the grizzly).
Happy owner,
Jim
