Hello,
I have a client with a very old house that has what the owner refers to as “Indian Shutters” in the windows. These are a pair of raised panels, top and bottom that slide into the wall when not in use and over the window when in use. They have never had pulls to pull them out of the wall, so when they are pushed all the way into the wall, there is no way to pull them out except the drive a screw into the side and pull on that. The trouble with that of course is that then the shutter will not shut all the way because of the screw. She saw some pulls on some similar shutters at another building that were brass rings hinged onto a plate and mortised into the shutter , but I have had no luck finding a present source for these pulls. The shutters are just proud of 3/4″ thick. I suggested a knob on the front but she really wants the shutters to retract fully.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

click on handles, then flush pulls, then on about the 4th or 5th page there is a ring pull with rectangular backplate that is 1 x 3/4"
