Hello all,
I was hoping someone could help me out. I am using poplar for some projects. I really like the green color and found some pieces with great coloration. I don’t have a lot of experience working with polar, and I was wondering if there is any method used that can preserve the color and prevent the wood from turning brown.
Any insight is much appreciated.

Keeping it in the dark and away from oxygen is probably the only way to keep it green. I don't know if applying a finish with good UV absorption characteristics would help, but it might be worth a try. I doubt that there's anything that will keep it green in the long term (decades).
