I have a client who wants her existing cabinet doors made into pocket doors.
The reason is that they block a doorway when one side is opened. Her existing doors are inset with a piano hinge mounted to a faceframe. Is it possible to make these into pocket doors? The size of the doors are 36″ tall and 24″ deep. ……..I just had a picture of it flash in my head and realize that it is possible…however, pipe in with your comments anyway…thanks

The door size is really not as important as the wall thickness where the pocket will be created. Are you sure you mean pocket doors and not "flipper" style doors?
I stand corrected...they fold out and then slide in.
That's aflipper door assembly - many of the woodworking catalogues including WoodCraft Supply, Lee Valley, Rockler and Woodworkers Supply all carry various flipper door hinge assemblies. Good luck!
Cutawood,
You'll need to put in a vertical divider panel to support shelves or at least to keep the contents of the cabinet away from the flipper door. I like to use 'magic wire' shelf supports for this. On a deep cabinet I'll use 2 each top and bottom. Works great and allows easy access to the flipper door slide hardware for adjustment. BTW I like the Accuride 123 slides.
