Trying to find some hardware for a armiore for a client. Not quite sure what she is looking for. Specifically door handles.
I’ve tried Lowe’s, Home Depot, Woodcraft, Rockler, Lee Valley, Restoration hardware and there’s nothing that she likes.
Where else is there? Has to be online or catalog because we’ve gone to every place in town.
any suggestions?

Try Van Dykes. http://www.vandykes.com/
They have a TON of stuff.

mikkimel,
In addition to Van Dykes, you might also look at Lee Valley, they carry lots of hardware, Whitechapel Ltd. Harware, Horton Brasses Inc., and even Rockler has a fair selection--though not nearly as much as the others.

What style? Check out these places. If they don't have what you like they can also fabricate pretty much anything. Ball and Ball has a good selection with moderate pricing same with Whitechapel. Londonderry is pricey but excellent for period hardware that looks and feels authentic.

It might be time to search for a wholesale distributor in your area. Most metropolitan areas will have at least one or two such firms that sell a full line of cabinet hardware (drawer glides, drawer/door pulls, etc. ).
These folks , for instance, will have all the Amerock items you see at the home centers, but they will also have access to the higher end of the Amerock line. They also sell the other higher end sources mentioned above -- Whitechapel, Horton, Colonial, and usually a variety of spiffy European stuff.
Unless you're looking for a particular style, finding the "right" hardware is pretty much like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack. I would load up on catalogs, and let her do the looking. Gezuar.
Thanks for asking the question. I visited the suggested links and was able to find the hardware that my wife wanted for a curio cabinet that I am building.
I am in the military and am stationed in Korea. Not speaking the language I have been having difficulty in finding almost anything to do with wood working.

Poster J.P. stole much of my thunder, another source you may want to check out for hardware is Horton Brass (a competitor of Ball and Ball) http://www.horton-brasses.com/
I've used Van Dyke's several times. They have a great variety, and are great to deal with.
