I am looking for plans for a Philadelphia arm chair, which has carved shells, one on the crest rail and one on the front, as well as shells on the knees of the cabriole legs. I know Lonnie Bird teaches a class on making a chair like, which is photographed in the gallery of the Society of American Period Furniture Makers web site. Mr Bird however, does not sell plans. If anyone has used similar plans and would be willing to share them or sell them please let me know. I can draft them myself after measuring similar pieces but was trying to get a head start and not “re-invent the wheel”. Thanks a lot.

Jay,
The closest source I know of is the book and plans offered by Fox Chapel Publishing by Ron Clarkson, Making Classic Chairs at this url http://www.foxchapelpublishing.com/productdetails.cfm?PC=285. The chairs shown in the book are side, not arm chairs though.
Good luck
Try the olde mill shop for Gene Landon plans - several nice chairs there.
Also try the Carlyle Lynch site.
