I’m making a small jewelry box for an aquaintance as an Item for auction to help his friend who has cancer. I don’t have a lot of time, but was hoping to spuce it up with some ogee feet. Does anybody know of some plans or instructions on how to easily cut those? Unfortunately I’ve never done those. I just thought it would be a nicer touch than the brass ones I could buy at rockler. It’s to be made out of walnut with a spalted maple lid. I’ve only got a week to get it done.

Look at the Bracket foot molding bits at http://www.eagleamerica.com In the search box use part number 175-1122 They are quite easy to make, I made the shown box. You don't have to leave the square lip on the top if you don't want and the vertical section on the bottom is better off a little shorter for aesthetics, as was done on the box. Run one piece long enough to do all of the feet. Use a scroll saw to cut the coped section. OOps. Router table makes life easy on this bit, you can do it on a 6" wide board and then rip off the profile to desired width. I actually prefer using a wide board and ripping. Keeps fingers out of harms way.

Thanks. That looks like the easy solution, but I don't think I would have time to order get it here use it and get the thing done without the bit costing 100 bucks I may have to give it try though. Bruce, what scroll saw do you have? I would like to make some feet but do not have a scroll saw.

Delta SS350/16". Used a #1 precision skip tooth. But I sure would like a Hawk or Hegner. But I scroll so little it would be hard to justify.Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!

Would these work?
Use a round over for the upper, and a ball nose for the lower and a rabbet plane to blend the two.
That is how I did these:
