My next project will be an entertainment console which incorporates a motorized TV lift for a large flat screen. Does anyone have any experience with the brands of lifts available and/or vendors?

They're pricey.
I looked into them about three years ago and even the wealthy clients I was building an entertainment center for didn't want to spring for the extra cost. The brand I looked at was Auton. I got a close up look at the IWF tradeshow and it seems to be one of the more popular brands. I would imagine the costs have fallen and there's more on the market since I inquired.
A reliable company I often use, http://www.outwaterhardware.com/ , sells a few different versions of TV lifts and similar hardware, though I've never installed one myself.
I have one word of caution when using these lifts. Use the right type of cables and properly route the cables. Some cables are not meant to be flexed repeatedly. I've worked with commercial lifts and have seen many cables ripped loose when not properly installed.
