Does anyone have an old Miller Falls miter box for sale at less than $100? I have the long saw that goes with it and would like to complete the set. Please reply not only to this list but also to me at [email protected]. TIA

Have you tried E-bay? The Millers Falls boxes were originally made by Langdon and the boxes will sometimes show up under that name also. I just searched on E-bay and found several of them. Be aware that they came in a few different sizes so the saw you have may not fit just any MF box.

Thank you for the information.
If you got the saw, determine if it's 4, 5 or 6" depth...
each one requires a slightly different mitre saw. 4" was common, 6" relatively sacrce,
Despite the complexity of these items, you should be able to pick one up 25-40 bucks.
What ya gotta watch for is completeness.
Likely somewhere on the web is a MFia listing of an intact mitre box .
Often missing are end stops (rods that stick out the end to help with repeat cuts), crown mould supports (if the wood base is there, you'll see the slots they went into.
You might not get one intact first time around. Intact they is hard come by, but knowing what is missing is a good negotiation point.
