I am wondering if anyone has any experience using the new Miller dowel system for joining drawer box sides as an alternative to dovetails or other systems? If anyone has done it or something similar how has it worked for you? I am interested in the possibilities this system might make available.

I haven't made drawers using Miller dowels.....but have used them to reinforce butt joints in other things as well as reinforcing mitered boxes. Easy to use. Expensive, but convenient.
They should work fine for drawer construction. IIRC, the 1x (smaller) miller dowels are still quite large....somewhere around 1/2 inch diameter at the head.....you might be better off using straight 3/8 or 1/8 doweling, depending on the thickness of stock for your drawers.
