Hi
I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the magic molder. I am wanting to run my own MDF crown with it. I am mostly concerned about rpms of that of a table saw in comparison to that of a shaper.
thanks

It will work fine. The Magic Moulder is the newest version of a tried and true means of shaping on a table saw. Just feed it a little slower. The nice thing about the Magic Moulder is you can get the shaper head version later and use the same cutter. Table saw moulding heads have been around for at least 60 years. I recall seeing the Magic Moulder at least 15 years ago.
I've used the magic molder and it works well. I used it on solid lumber, so I can't say how well it work with MDF. Like the poster above me said, molder heads have been around a long time. The magic molder is a very good design. The cutters are secured in the head with set screws.
