Anyone have any experience with the Lee Valley right angle sled, for their router table? I’m thinking of getting the top and fence, and wonder if I should throw in the sled. Is this mostly for making box (finger) joints? Does it do a good job at that? Thanks in advance for any opinions anyone might have.

I have the top (bought it used) and am dying to get the fence and sled. BrianMc has the sled I think. I'll drop him a line if he doesn't see this thread.
Fingerjoints are just one of several operations that you'd use the sled for. When doing end-routing, you need a sled or a miter gauge to stablize the work and hold it to 90*. Since the Veritas table doesn't have a miter gauge slot, a sled it is.

Bought the top fence and sled at the toronto show last year and mounted my Freud router to it. Made some cupboard doors using the sled and loved it. don' t think that they would have fitted together without it.

Thanks for the responses.
