I picked up Lee Valleys cabinet scraper about a week ago, and i have to say, they are doing a great job with their veritas line of tools. this scraper worked nearly flawlessly out of the box, much like my other veritas tools ( 5 1/4 and their LA block plane) the only problem was that the clamp bar that holds the blade in place had a bad habit of letting shavings get caught below it. this was fixed with a quick trip to the grinder, and after putting a chamfer on the bottom edge, shavings were streaming out. now today i got a package in the mail from lee valley. they had become aware of this problem and had sent me a new improved clamp bar for my scraper absolutely free. I think that Lee Valley deserves a huge amount of credit for this kind of service. for $50 bucks canadian ($30 US) this tool is IMO a great deal, and with service like they have shown me, I will always be one of their customers.
