This is my first post, but I’ve been lurking on Knots for awhile. I just had to share my excitement. I ordered a Laguna LT14SE bandsaw just today. It is to be at my door Monday next week. This is my first bandsaw purchase and I selected the Laguna based a lot on the past discussions on Knots. Hope I made the right decision going with this one over Jet, Delta, etc…

CK: I have the 18" Laguna and it has been trouble-free and done everything I've asked it to do. They threw in a couple of their ReSaw King blades which sweetened the deal nicely at $140 or so each.
Enjoy it, Duke

CK, coincidentally, I also ordered a Laguna 14SE (my first), with delivery on Thursday! I considered the 16", but after discussing with the salesman, decided that the 14" better met the type of work I do. -- will be interested to compare notes after you have a chance to put it to work. -Bob Myers.
Iowa Bob ~ Did you receive your bandsaw on Thursday? I'm curious how the delivery went and if you have set it up.
I should have mine early next week, but i have to drop another 240v outlet in my shop for it this weekend.

The Bandsaw showed up right on schedule (through ABF freight) and in good condition. Have unpacked the saw in the garage and now need to solicit some help to move it to the basement. Also need to convert an outlet over to 220v. When I wired my shop, I ran 12-3 wire to each outlet, so it is a simple matter to changeover to 220. Also, thanks to Jfrostjr to pick up a soil stack connector for the dust collection.
You're welcome.Glad to help with the suggestion on the connecter. I'm thinking about the "help you get it to the basement" part. It may take me a while to come to a conclusion. Perhaps this why my shop is in the garage.Honestly - Good Luck! The thing is really top heavy.Jerry
I, too, bought a 14" Laguna 2 years ago. I have been very well pleased with it - but, the blades that come with the saw are not worthy of the machine. Go for a (some?) Tinberwolf blade. The 1" Laguna blade is a dog!

P.S. The sawdust exhaust chute is not a standard size - go to the hardware store and buy a plumber's, soft rubber soil pipe connecter. It works perfectly. Also, I hard wired a magnetic, swivel light into the power cord. I stick it to the upper wheel cover and can move it around. Hard wired it avoids having an extra cord in the way.
Congrats!!! I'll help out with the Timber Wolf blades. Order from:
http://www.suffolkmachinery.com They are the makers of Timber Wolf. If you're new to ordering bandsaw blades, it's best (IMHO) to call them and discuss the saw and the kinds of cutting you have in mind, they will help select the right blades. They usually have a "Buy 3 get one free" or something like that.

My wife bought me a 16" Laguna as a wedding gift a year ago and I love it. Her too. Can't go wrong with the best. There re-saw blades are awesome.
GREAT! If ya do not like it I'll take if off your hands.. I'll pay shipping in the 48 states...
NA! I hope it is ALL you expect and then some...
