hello all you fellow dust eaters. I’m brand new to the forum and look forward to learning more and possibly getting good info about all sorts of things to do with woodworking. I;ve been a woodworker/carpenter/cabinetmaker for many years and only have two questions today. one is ,,is there an online free consumer report type site on woodworking tools and two ,,,, about ten years ago a japaneese, folding, finishing saw called a Silky Pokenoko went out of production , just after i had bought one. This has a replacable blade but before i could buy any everyone on the west coast where i am scooped them up. Now over the years ive seached for them with no luck so my question is does anyone out there have a personal supply of them blades and would you be willing to let go of one or two blades,,,i’d be very appreciative. Now before you all start giving me suggestions let me say that i have never run accross a blade like this , Its a japaneese blade, 25 teeth p/inch,, no set and very thin ,,they were not ment to be sharpened ,just thrown away when worn out.If you have any and can help or if your familiar with the saw and know of a good substitute gime a ring. mbiraman

Welcome..No help on question #1...maybe for # 2 Highland Hardware in Atlanta Ga...or the japan woodworker?..I have a Silky...and a few blades, .o22 kerf is what I use..I can sharpen them with a feather file..but they are very hard steel. Good luck maybe some else has more info..duane
I may be able to help. I am curious about the "no set". Is it for flush cutting? If not, it must have some kind of set, eh?
Regardless, if you can post or send me a picture, I can check over here in white rice land and see if there any blade which match up with it. If so, I'd be happy to get and send them to a fellow knothead.
