Is it true? I just heard that James Krenov passed away. What a man, what a life. Thankyou for all of the inspiration. Thankyou.

That's what the main page says...
It's been a sad year, with Sam Maloof passing and now James Krenov. While they were both very old, I think we all felt they'd keep going. What's certian is the legacy they created will surely endure.
I've been wondering lately if we will ever see Woodworker/Designers as inspirational as they were. Was the time just right for their emergence?
I believe that it was timing and location, Sam Maloff in <!----><!----><!---->Detroit<!----><!----> in 1980 would have never happened.
I just noticed the announcement in a Taunton e-mail.....another of the great spirits and inspirations gone to the ages.
Thank you Mr K.
I'm not flippin' you off.........just counting cubits
Your standard of living will eventually diminish to your standard of buying. Think about it.
I'm even more saddened by the loss of James Krenov than I was when I heard about the passing of Sam Maloof. Both represented significant chapters in the annals of woodworking, but Krenov's books personally inspired me to get more involved with the effort to create something special every time I started a new project. He will be missed!
