The only Festool deals are the ones authorized by Festool. Assuming that's the RO 125 FEQ + CT 22 E, then $ 742.50 is the price you'll pay no matter who you buy it from (as long as you buy it before 1 Apr).

I wondered.
That's the standard combo price. Most dealers (us included) will also throw in free shipping.
Festool prices go up April 1 - so if you are planning to buy (from anyone) do it now.

Garrett Wade is giving the impression that the normal combo price is $810. So $742.50 is the actually the current combo price?
And while I've got you on the line, I hear some fuss about accessories. If I were to buy this combo and some sandpaper from you, am I missing anything essential such as a hose or a power cord, etc? Just a bit apprehensive. Never bought anything Festool before. Please be Frank Joel.
$810 is the price of the two items purchased separately.

Thanks Steve. BTW, the seller is listing this as "on sale".
"the seller is listing this as "on sale"."
Isn't everything "on sale"?
Harry
Following the path of least resistance makes rivers and men crooked.
Quite so, however I'm not being THAT naive, as they list a number of Festool items, however this particular combo is singularly highlighted in RED and noted specially as SALE.

hi blewcrowe, joel can provide the definitive answer, but everything i've bought from festool was ready to go out of the box. everything came with the power cord, ct-33 came with a hose, circular and jigsaws came with a blade, and the sanders (ets-125, ds-400, rs-400) came with a few sheets of sandpaper. i did convert the random orbital (ets) to use abranet , and as far as i can tell, the ets+abranet+ct combination is dustless -- no tack cloth needed.the only exception i can think of, is that the routers don't come with any bits (but whose routers do?). i just bought the of-1010 small router from woodcraft, and plan to pick it up tonight. also got my eye on an ro-150, but i'm not sure that's in the budget just now...excellent tools. i've never regretted any festool purchase.
cheers,
bert
if it's worth doing at all, then it's worth doing well.
Okay, that's good to know. Seems I detected some rumblings along the discussions that not everything "needed" was included, or maybe it was nickel and diming on accesories. I don't rightly remember. I have no experience with Festool; I'm echoing what I thought I "picked up" in the threads. Thanks again.
what you're probably hearing is that nothing from festool comes cheap, but it's well-made and designed for all parts to work together in a "system". also, since it's european, the standard items are set to the european spec. for example, i don't have a c-12 drill, but i'm told the bits are metric hex bits, and the SAE hex bits won't fit. for sanders, it's largely irrelevant as 125mm ~= 5" and 150mm ~= 6". however, you'll probably want to use the festool sandpaper though to get the benefit of the central dust hole (or with the 6" sanders you could convert to abranet). (the metric spec thing holds true for the other european tool companies too -- felder, minimax, fein, etc.)
cheers,

"$742.50 is the actually the current combo price? And while I've got you on the line, I hear some fuss about accessories. If I were to buy this combo and some sandpaper from you, am I missing anything essential such as a hose or a power cord, etc?"When you buy a vacuum with most of the power tools there is a discount. (15% of the price of the vac). This is a standard year around discount that is authorized by Festool. If you get the sander and the vacuum you are good to go. Except of course you will need some sandpaper. (you get a few sheets with the sander) Festool makes 7 different types of sandpaper in up to 12 grits each. most of the time you will want Brilliant but the range is awesome. We stock every grit in every type because you never know what you might want.
In addition to sandpaper Festool also makes different backing (hard/soft etc) for the sander, and the Rotex can be used for polishing so there are polishing pads, but unless you have an immediate application you don't need that stuff right away (or ever - depending on what you are doing). On the vacuum side the hose garage is a popular accessory but it is certainly an add on and not required (I don't have one). Get an extra box of bags for the vacuum. It's not essential day 1 (the vac comes with one bag) but you might as well have the spares handy. If you don't have a clear idea of what you need give your dealer (or us) a call and ask. That's what dealers are for.
