Started this TV/stereo stand and so far is has turned out great. All mortise and tenon joinery and everything running as planned. But when I did the paperwork on it I couldnt think of a way to assemble the interior to use two drawers and two doored compartments. I mean,..I knew there was a way,..I just figured it would come to me as I built it. The middle front for the drawers sticks out about 1/2 in more than the side fronts. I thougt it would look cool that way. It is one of the more complicated peices I have done. Nothing intense but alot of head scratching is involved. My question is this. By looking at these pics can you think of a good way to make the guts. The front offset screws things up a bit. I am leaning toward a 1/2 back, dadoed to recieve two vetical dividers. The vertical dividers will support drawer runners. For the bottom..I think I will have to flip the piece over and literally scribe the bottom to fit around each leg….what do you think?…suggestions. It’s gonna be heavy…any help will be great!

here ARE the pics
I like to cut a pair of shallow dadoes to recieve an exposed bottom or shelf. Just give a cleaner look and you don't have to deal with opening and closing gaps at the joint when the wood moves.

Are you talking about making a shallow rabbet along all the side and front pieces to recieve the bottom.
Yes; there and in the legs. Rather than cutting the bottom to fit around the leg, (which is difficult to do without leaving an unsightly gap) let the bottom extend into the leg - even 1/4" is sufficient.
