That's one sweeet setup! And nice Craigslist score!
I recently upgraded my table saw and lost a router table. But unlike your saw, my side table is steel and I don't think that I can figure out a way to easily cut a hole in it, or even replace it... not easily anyway.
I've seen somewhere a tablesaw wing (steel) with a routher lift hole in it ... would that be a possibility?
Bench Dog makes a cast iron 27" wide table saw wing. It has a cut out for a router lift. I have the wing, a Bench Dog lift with a Milwaukee 5625 router mounted to my Delta HD shaper. It is my second favorite shop tool, the Hammer sliding table saw is my favorite machine.

That BenchDog is a pretty cool setup, but my new saw is a Euro-style slider. So I don't have a wing on the left. I've been eyeing the Kreg table. A separate table is probably the easiest solution for me right now. Also it has a pretty sweet fence.
I thought you had a Euro slider but I was not sure. I have a Hammer B3 saw/shaper so I put the Bench Dog on my other shaper. I like it mounted to the shaper as I have a shaper on one end and the router table on the other.
