I'm not sure I understand the question, what size nails are you talking about driving?
John W.
Hi John,Thank you for taking my question.Size nails? plus & minus 11.5. Used for the production of Pallets. We are a Drug and Alcohol Rehab Unit here in The Bahamas and while we presently make high quality Lawn Furniture for Hotels, Gov Depts and the Domestic markets we have recently been asked to produce Pallets for the Import & Distribution Companies here in the Islands. We thought it might be less expensive to set up with electric powered viz compressed air. Any advise, help and recommendations gladly received. Thank you Mark
Now I understand your question. The only electric guns are for very small brads, the guns you are probably thinking of are powered by propane gas supplied by a small disposable cartridge and fired by a built in rechargable battery, the most common brand is made by Paslode. These cordless guns have their uses, but aren't as reliable and trouble free as an air powered tool.
Pallet making is an established industry with tools and equipment designed specifically for the job and rules and specifications for pallet design. If you are going to get seriously involved in setting up a pallet business, you should do some research, get advice from manufacturers of the equipment, and talk to someone who has actually run a pallet shop, this will save you a lot of trouble and wasted effort.
I turned up this site devoted to the pallet industry: http://www.palletenterprise.com/ but there are many others.
