“Some of us craftsmen have periods of doubt and fear, and getting a bit of help, sharing information and feelings with other people can, at those times, make the difference between getting on with one’s work with enjoyment or slipping into discouragement and confusion, which can end in resignation.“
James Krenov
To all who have been free with advice and encouragement, happy Thanksgiving and thank you.

Yes, a good day to all - Thanksgiving Day observers and not.
swen,
This am, my loving wife and I shared a breakfast of eggs and venison steak, from a deer I harvested last week. Later, we'll host a dinner, some of which we grew in our garden, for friends and our son, after he gets off work. The dining room, furnished with my work, will be warmed in part by a fireplace burning wood that I harvested from our woodlot. We here at the Pine home, have many reason to to be thankful for God's providence.
Best wishes,
Ray
Aromas' driving me nuts
Sitting here smelling the mixtures of Turkey, Mincemeat and Pumpkin pies baking, Yams candied with real maple syrup, cinnamon spiced apple sauce and mulled cider will be the next to come ;-) Pure torture!! I have already inhaled 1200 calories.
Enjoy a truly American Holiday.
HAPPY GOBBLER DAY !
Yes ! I raise a glass to all the Knots people, readers and those behind the scenes making it work. Sitting at our new bubinga table top this Thanksgiving. Whew ! (planing and planing and planing) We certainly are thankful for each other and the many blessings that have come our way this year always with humility and thoughts for those who are struggling.
Ditto from me too.
It is a good day with family and grandchildren. We are a thankful bunch taking time to recognize our blessings, both material and spiritual. None of us are "professional" woodworkers, but the grandkids first request was "Big Daddy, let's make a car and paint it." We have made many cars over the years and the kids enjoy doing it.
And, amid my thankfulness are the many friends, past and present, here on Knots. I am thankful for how readily everyone shares their knowledge and experience; compliements as well as critiques as to how to improve; and the cyber friendships that develop, as well as the ones that become personal friendships.
May you and yours enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas, and whatever holidays you celebrate.
