Hey Gang,
She’s chopped, dropped, and ready to roll!
Finished putting this on the saw this weekend and just got in from calibrating the fence. Using the method where you cut a 4 X 4 sheet of plywood all the way around and then take a sliver off and measure with a dial caliper, it’s within .002 over 4 feet. Close enough for the girls in my neighborhood!
The installation was not without it’s headaches, but nothing I couldn’t figure out or fix on the fly. Customer service….. well that’s another story altogether!
I believe Cincinnati and JMartinsky were looking at this add-on as well. If you guys are still interested I will fill you in on the good, the bad, and the ugly!
Cheers,
Lee
P.S. sorry for the cruddy pics – should have waited until tomorrow when the sun was out

Hello Maple,
That looks like a nice set-up. Who makes it? Do you have a link?
Thanks
Bob, Tupper Lake, NY
Hi Bob,
It's made by Laguna tools, they call it their pro sliding table. Same sliding table they put on their TSS table saw.
Here's that link:

Thanks Lee.
Nice slider! Hope you just 'love' it.
Not to take anything from this post but I just purchased and installed
a JessEm MastRSlide 7500. About 1/2 the price of yours, so probably half as good? Sorry, just the way I think.
I do like it and the installation went without a hitch.
However, after using it I finally realised that my old wooden crosscut slider did the same thing! Well, except for the adjustable miter fence and I already have a Incra Miter 5000?.
Well, I had alot of fun bying and installing it!
I'm so stupid sometimes!
Hi Will,
I looked at the Jessem before I made my decision. I will agree it's a nicely built piece of equipment. It only has about 36" of crosscut capacity, however. That was a limiting factor for me, as I frequently cross cut whole sheets.
As for the price, I ordered mine in April and the price was about $300 lower than what is listed on Laguna's website now. Somewhere between the time I put a deposit down and when I received it they must have had a price increase.
Cheers,
Lee
Not knocking anything you did.. I just posted my thoughts..
Hey Will,
No problem, it's all good. I appreciate your comments.
