I have an old Walker Turner lathe that I have restored, but I am missing a decent toolrest holder. I have been considering one of the Grizzly replacement toolrests and holders, but I’m not sure if they will work with my lathe or not. The gap between by bed rails is 2.5″ and they are about 1/2″ thick. Can anyone with a Grizzly lathe tell me if their toolrest would work with my bed? I can make slight modifications if needed.
Thanks,

Call griz and find out. They will be able to give you the dimensions. Heck, they may even be able to email you a spec sheet.
I also had an old WT lathe that lacked the tool rest holder. I used one by Delta. It's not that hard to make the under-the-bed piece to the necessaray width.
