Hi,
I have not worked with teak much. I purchased some 8/4 stock with very uniform lovely golden brown rough cut surface. On plaining the surfaces smooth there are considerable green areas running through the newly exposed wood. These areas run along the grain but are patchy. Will this oxidize back to the golden brown color? If so after how long? If not then is a treatment in order? (oxalic acid?)
Thanks

Yes it will turn on its own after a few days. You don't need to do anything to it other than expose it to the air.
Yes, it's a bit scary, given the price of this stuff, but it will 'conform'. Exposure to sunlight will hasten the process.
