You can't go wrong with a slider. Even a mini slider with a 4' travel is a plus. There's other brands such as Paolini, Grizzly, Minimax, Kufo, Rojek, Robland, Felder, Hammer, etc. Finding one that takes a dado narrows the selection.

The Paolini takes a dado blade. I know of several people with the 9' sliders. They've been around at least 15 years in this country.

I purchased a laguna 1/2 slider with scoring a few years back. I am not familiar with the other brands.
Speaking about sliders in general, Which ever you choose, It will change the way you work. As for the scoring , I have never used it . A good crosscut blade delivers perfect cuts. It dose accept dado blades also. Not trying to push laguna. I have a few of there machines of which I am happy with. I just do not care for their service.
Good luck with your purchase.

I would look at the other brands mentioned. I own a Felder saw/shaper and jointer/planer. General just started with these and I think it may take a few years to get the kinks worked out. No personal experience with this model, but if you go with Felder or SCMI (minimax) you can rest assured they have the years experience to back up the product. There are a lot of subtle features to the euro models that doubt General has copied yet. At $5k you can get yourself into a hammer slider. The euro dado cutter leaves a much cleaner cut, but it comes with a price to match.

I would go with your gut feeling. Sounds like to me you have done the research. The machines you mentioned are quite nice.
Not the OP of this one. It happens.
