Good Morning,
I recently started finishing an aromatic Cedar Chest for a client and everything was going fine until I saw one knot on the lid that just wont cover all of the rest covered beautifully but that one no matter how many coats just wont go away it almost looks like I have missed it completely with every coat. I sealed the chest with Zinsser Bulls eye seal coat and used a satin varnish topcoat. How do I fix this problem without having to start over completely. Can I re-seal the knot or will it eventually cover I already have four coats on it and it still looks like it has nothing on it. What is the best thing to do??

Does it look like the finish is just soaking in to the knot, or does it give the impression of pulling away from it as the varnish levels out before drying?
More shellac.
The Zinnser SealCote is a shellac product that is thinned. It might many coats of this to seal that knot.
You can also buy some "Clear" shellac from Zinnser. Its actually a super blond shellac, and is a more normal concentration (a 3-pound cut).
The thicker mix will cover and seal in fewer coats. And note that shellac is a (more or less) universal under- and over-coat product. You can put it on top of almost anything, and you can use it under almost anything.
