Hello, I loaned my Porter Cable finish gun to someone, now the driver kit got bend. My guess that he has to many bounce, that kept hitting double nails… Anyway, is this an easy fix, or I should buy a new one?
If buying is an option, what brand do you suggest?
Thanks.

Oops, I post in the wrong section. How do I move to general forum?
You can get a new drive assembly for $30 or $40. It's pretty easy to replace and, unless the guides are bent, that should do ya. If the gun has been around a while, you may want to get the rebuild kit and replace the seals while you're at it.
That said, why didn't that "someone" fix it before returning it? ;-(

Everything fits, until you put glue on it.
Thanks. I just checked the website, the driver kit around 67 bucks.
However, where cna I find the instruction how to replace it...I don't think I have the manual. Thanks.
The driver alone should be $10 to $20. No need for the whole kit. Remove the cap and take out the piston and drive. Drive the pin out of the piston and pop a new driver and reassemble.
Used to repair air guns. Just bought a new Senco 15 ga gun for $33...clearance at HD.
Get a new driver. They are held to the piston by a spring pin which a flat tipped punch will drive out.
