Several years ago I saw an edge joint that resembled a scallop. One sideof the box was wanlut while the other was aspen (I think). In the center of each white scallop was a small dowell of walnut. Last year, in one of the many woodworking magazines a reader asked about a jig to make this joint. I went to the website and this was what I wanted. I have since lost the website address and cannot find the magazine. Can you help me out here? I promise to safeguard the information this time. No, I’ll order the jig right away. Thanks,

It took some searching but I found the tooling at Leichtung Workshops:

The cove and pin joint or Knapp joint, there are several other names, is pretty to look at, but in reality the joint isn't any stronger than just a line of dowels, the scalloping is just decorative.
