I wish to build a Dry Kiln. There is a lot of info online as well as some great plans.
But my question is on the angle of the glass for maximum benefit. Research says that the angle should match your longitude (or is it latuitude?). Whichever one it is (I’ve forgotten right now), mine was 39 degrees when I looked it up. What no one has mentioned is whether the angle is off vertical of horizontal! I sure don’t want to set it up wrong, so if anyone knows for certain, I’d love to hear from you.
If anyone works in Conroe, Willis, or New Waverly Texas, I like to meet you.
Thanking you in advance,
Jimbo

Sorry for my grammer !!
http://solarelectricityhandbook.com/solar-angle-calculator.html It should be the angle off horizontal. The closer you are to the equator the higher the sun is in the sky and so the lower the glass angle. Of course that is not a constant through the year so they compromise i suspect on the angle of the sun at noon at the equinox. Above is a calculator for sun angle through the year depending on where you live.
On the other hand, from the stories I've heard, there isn't anything in Texas that could get much dryer, which would be an even bigger disaster if it keeps up.
