When I was at a woodworking course a couple of months ago one of the other participants showed me a set of chisels he’d picked up at an estate sale years ago. He asked me to guess the make up of the handle. I didn’t know. He then pulled out another where the handle had collapsed from being hit…the handle was made of paper sheets glued together. Needless to say, I’d neither seen nor heard of chisel handles made of paper. Anyone here on Knots know anything about these oddities?
