I am going to purchase a Dewalt 744S. It comes with the stand but I need to move the saw in and out of my garage and basement to use it. I have a HTC mobile base that my old Delta table saw fit on and I am wondering if I can use that for my new saw. Does any one who own’s one of these saws use anything different?
Thanks,
Chris

I was accosted (in a friendly way) by a woodworker when browsing saws a couple of weeks ago. He raved about his DeWalt, and mentioned that he has his on the mobile base from Harbor Freight. BTW, he's built a lot of furniture etc. with his and really loves it. Seriously cool fence!

Yes. The best stand I could find is the Kwik Stand. I have 2 with the Dewalt saws on them. They work great. They INCLUDE the outfeed support as it is incorporated in the design. No add ons. No parts to assemble or loose. It takes about 2 seconds to set it up. Mine are 2-3 years old. They can take whatever you dish out. I think that the Rousseau and Trojan stands are flimsy and poorly designed. I held out even buying a stand because I couldn't find any others. You can find it at E-Bay. I know someone who also has a Kwik Stand and mounted the Bosch on it. He says it works great. Another sub I know mounted the Makita on his. He likes it, but if you ask me, it is a bit big for the saw (or maybe the saw is a bit small for the stand!)
