Has anyone tried linkbelts on their Unisaw?
Ed
When I had a Unisaw I used link belts and they worked great. For the last couple of years as a Unisaw owner I only had the 2 outside belts installed and encountered no problems. The Unisaw is now history as I now use a Hammer sliding table saw.
Life is what happens to you when you're making other plans.
When your ship comes in... make sure you are not at the airport.
These aren't particularly unusual belts, I don't believe. You don't need to pay big bucks for the specially "matched" belts offered by Delta.
I replaced my unisaw belts from a auto parts store. I just matched the old ones up with the new. There still in there working fine for many years.
that's what I tried, no luck. Will have to broaden my search. Thanks to all who replied.Expert since 10 am.

Go with the cogged belts and there is no need to buy matched belts. Just buy them at the same time. Unisaw belts are a weird size 28-5/8". Just buy 29" belts. The cogged wedge type belts transfere power better than a standard v belt. Belive it or not one belt will do the job. If you looked at the 9 hp panel saws out there they typically use one belt and they don't have any slipping problems. Spent 8 years servicing Delta machinery for a dealer and never wasted the customers money on Delta stock belts...way over priced and not any better. Never had any complaints. I did give them the option and money saved in their pocket was always appreciated.
Just bought 3, 24" belts from a Delta service shop...when these give out, I'll get ribbed belts. thank you for the tip.Expert since 10 am.
Do I want 29" Outside or Inside Length?
Do I order 29" outside or inside.
I'm a newbie.
