Forrest and Freud both make blades design for melamine and plys. I have not used this blade but it uses C4 carbide, same as Forrest blades:http://www.justsawblades.com/systimatic/melamine.htm
The key for melamine is 0 or a slight negative hook.

I just purchased an 80 tooth "triple chip" Freud (thin kerf). It's for Melamine and laminates. It's a great cross cut blade as well. I got it off of ebay for $35. (from a liquidator of tools)Here is another listing...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20797&item=4383286549&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW"triple chip" means that the carbides are beveled three different ways (left, right and flat)Mark
Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with an ax.

Thanks for your help
Just so you know, there is still going to be some chipping. It's because of the blade rotation. For best results cut the piece upside down, but nothing is perfect.
Firk,
To avoid chipping the melamine, lay a strip of blue painter's tape on the top and bottom of the material, and make your cut right down the middle of the tape. You can also score the melamine by setting the depth of cut on your saw to 1/32" to 1/16". Make one pass at this depth, and then make a full cut. Use the saw blades recommended in the other posts. I use a Forrest Wood Worker II blade in my table saw with a zero clearance insert and don't have any trouble with chip out.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Cuts melamine without splintering. By the way, it also cuts everything else better!
