Coffee Table plans for Suitcase Trunk

I have a trunk suitcase that I am trying to turn into a coffee table. It measures 20x30x7, and I’d like to get it to a height of 16-17″ by placing it on a stand that is 9″+ high.
Anyone aware of any plans for such a project?

I haven't seen any plans but the first ideas that come to mind are these:
Get another suit case to use as the base.
Build something like one of those hotel luggage stands. It would be easy enough to make one to the desired height and it shouldn't take much more than a photo of one to build one to fit the need.
Would you put a glass top on it?
