I was clearing some brush with the chainsaw and looked down to see that I had cut my chainsaw pants with the saw. I don’t really know how I did it. The cut was about where the femoral artery dives down into the adductor canal along with the femoral nerve and vein.
The blade did not cut my quilted camo pants or undelying jeans.
Think I’ll go out and buy the cut proof jacket too!

You're just trying to save money. Next time, hire a mohel.
I usually cut my jeans just above the left knee, that's how I know the snow is getting too deep. haha
Ever wonder why they make chain bar oil bright red?
Yes,I made it. No,not hard. Yes, a long time.
About 20 years ago I was working on clearing some low branches from a tree along a drainage ditch. I was standing in the bottom of the ditch with my left leg up the side of the ditch. The saw went through the branch quicker than I expected and came down on my leg. It shredded the jeans I was wearing from inside the top of the knee to about the middle of the top of my thigh. About 16" total.
There was not a scratch on the skin. It took me about a week to stop shaking.
I haven't touched a chain saw since.
